About This Book
My personal faith in Christ has been growing and enlarging from the time I was saved as a child. Through my stubborn and at times absurd rejection of what Christ wanted for me, HE has always remained steadfast and true. I really believe that Christ is truly the only choice we have as humans. I got married when I turned twenty and before the end of our second year God called her home. It took many years to get past her abrupt death and during that time I rebelled against God and humankind alike. It is interesting that this period of my life allowed me to get closer to God than can be imagined. God does forgive and God will not turn His back on anyone, no matter what they try to do to force Him. I began writing these poems while I was in high school and as my life changed I continued to write what came to mind and in whatever circumstance I found myself. I rarely let anyone read them or even know that I wrote them, in fact after several years I packed them away and almost forget about them. After my forty year journey of working for myself, God called me to work for Him in 2007. I moved to Seneca, South Carolina and while unpacking found the manuscript and shortly thereafter began preparing it for publication. As you read through the many styles of poetry found in this book, I pray that you also discover something about yourself and ultimately about God and His influence on all our lives whether we are living right or not. I thank you for even considering reading this little book of rhymes. I pray that it will bring you into whatever God has in store for you.
